What to Expect
The Obagi Blue Peel is a quick and simple procedure that does not typically require sedation. The peel is typically applied to the face and neck, depending on the number of coats applied. Some clients do experience a burning sensation that lasts only a few minutes. After the application of the peel, your skin will often have a bluish tint that usually washes off in 12 to 24 hours.
Following the procedure, clients often experience light swelling. Within two to three days, their skin will begin to peel. This peeling continues over the next several days. By the seventh to tenth day, your skin should start looking younger and healthier.
For best results, clients should use the Obagi Nu-Derm System 6 to 12 weeks before the procedure and then continue back on the Obagi Nu-Derm System once skin is healed after the procedure.
