Restylane® has been used in over 1 million treatments in 60 countries to correct wrinkles and enhance the appearance of the lips. It is approved in the U.S. for treating wrinkles and folds, such as laugh lines from the nose to the outer corners of the mouth (aka nasolabial folds).
Restylane® is a safe cosmetic dermal filler made of non-animal based hyaluronic acid (HA): a complex sugar molecule found in human tissue. Because the HA in Restylane® does not come from animals, there is no risk of transmission of animal-based disease or allergic reactions. Fine lines on the upper and lower lip fill nicely with Restylane® and lip enhancement lasts up to twice as long as collagen implants.
Restylane® is injected into the skin using an ultra-fine needle. The treatment takes less than 1 hour and results are practically instantaneous.
