What to Expect
We offer a variety of different exfoliating peels that help to remove your outermost skin layer, shedding dead skin cells to reveal the healthier skin beneath. Our experts evaluate your skin to determine the best type of exfoliating solution to use. Then, we apply the exfoliating solution to the skin and allow it to penetrate deeply. The exfoliating solution is then neutralized to prevent skin damage, and the solution is removed. Aftercare is also part of the process, including the use of topical creams or ointments to help soothe the skin and promote healing.

HOW LONG DO EXFOLIATING PEELS LAST?
Exfoliating peel intensity and results tend to vary. There are mild exfoliating peels aimed at hydrating the skin while the aggressive exfoliating peels help to remove significant amounts of pigmentation. Depending on the peel applied, we recommend that you incorporate exfoliating peels into a skin care routine that includes monthly treatments.
IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME AFTER AN EXFOLIATING PEEL?
Because exfoliating peels range in strength, the associated downtime also varies. For most peels, you can expect to see redness for up to 48 hours post treatment. Many clients will experience peeling and flaking about 3 days post treatment which can last for 3-5 days. For all exfoliating peel clients, you need to avoid direct extended sun exposure for at least 2 weeks after your peel.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I RECEIVE AN EXFOLIATING PEEL TREATMENT?
This depends on what we are trying to accomplish. When we are treating a condition like pigmentation or melasma, we will recommend treatments every 6-8 weeks. We always recommend that you incorporate exfoliating peels into a comprehensive skin care plan that will include monthly skin care treatments.
