WHAT DOES A MICRONEEDLING TREATMENT FEEL LIKE?

Prior to your treatment, we will apply prescription numbing cream to the area to be treated. This will allow for a more comfortable treatment.

HOW LONG DOES THE MICRONEEDLING TREATMENT TAKE?

The microneedling treatment, including prepping the skin and performing the treatment, takes about 45 – 60 minutes. Frequently we combine the microneedling treatment with other treatments like chemical peels, which could add additional time.

IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME AFTER MICRONEEDLING?

During your treatment you will see pinpoint bleeding. After your treatment you will be red and tender for up to 48 hours. You should plan to stay out of direct, extended sun exposure until your skin is completely healed.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I RECEIVE A MICRONEEDLING TREATMENT?

We recommend the microneedling treatments about every 6-8 weeks. If we are working with you to resolve a specific concern, like acne scarring, we may recommend more frequent treatments.
